Meet Katherine




Katherine Matthews

Katherine Mathews teaches a Hatha Flow Yoga class. Her class focuses on connecting body and mind through breathing techniques and postures; with emphasis on core strength, balance and flexibility. She received her certification through Aura Wellness Center. She has been practicing yoga for over 6 years.

The benefits of Yoga are endless. It is an amazing and relaxing form of exercise for all levels and body types. Some of the more common reasons (besides fun!) to enjoy Yoga are:

Increased Strength - Yoga helps us to use every muscle in the body, helping to increases strength from head to toe. And, while these postures strengthen the body, they also provide an additional benefit of helping to relieve muscular tension. 

Inner Peace - The meditative aspects of yoga help many to reach a deeper, more spiritual and more satisfying place in their lives.

About Our Classes

Hatha yoga refers to a set of physical exercises (known as asanas or postures), and sequences of asanas, designed to align your skin, muscles, and bones. The postures are also designed to open the many channels of the body—especially the main channel, the spine—so that energy can flow freely.

Vinyasa yoga, in which movement is synchronized to the breath, is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. This style is also called flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance.
